About Andorra Resident
Andorra Resident handles residency, relocation and tax for people moving to the Principality — from the first question about which route applies, through company formation or investment, to the residence card and the years of renewals after it.
What we do
Two residency routes lead into Andorra. Active residency suits people who will work or run a business here: it means forming an Andorran company, holding more than 34% of it, serving as its director and spending at least 183 days a year in the country. Passive residency suits people who will not work locally: it means committing €1,000,000 to Andorran assets and spending at least 90 days a year here. We assess which fits, then run the file end to end.
How an application actually runs
A file typically takes three to four months. For the active route that breaks down into roughly four to six weeks to incorporate the company, the banking setup, and four to eight weeks for the immigration application itself. Along the way it touches the immigration service, your Comú, the CASS, a notary and — where property is involved — the foreign investment authorisation. We hold all of that rather than handing you a checklist.
What we will tell you
The €50,000 state contribution is not refundable. Passive residency at its 90-day minimum does not make you an Andorran tax resident. Catalan is required at renewal, not at application. These are the things people find out late, and we would rather you heard them in the first conversation than after committing.
Who we are
We are based in Andorra la Vella and work in English, Catalan, Spanish, French, Dutch and German. The team is made up of lawyers, advisers and long-term residents who have been through the process themselves — which is the reason we can tell you how it goes in practice and not only what the law says.
